Romania and Bulgaria boast some of the best and most consistent onshore wind energy for central and eastern europe, ideal for utilisation with existing onshore wind technology.

Romania is currently ranked 10th in the world for the Ernst and Young wind energy attractiveness indices, and 9th for onshore wind - a high ranking for a country of its relative size and infrastructure.

Bulgaria is ranked at number 33.
